SUNDAY FUN-DAY.

When I was younger, Sunday fun-day used to consist of a strong commitment to boozy sessions at the pub. As I got older (yep it happens), this evolved to Sunday’s turning into couch dates once the no-day recovery soon required at least one-day recovery. After a few too many painful and familiar couch date Sundays lately, this week I’ve tried something new. Fresh-as-a-fucking-daisy (FAAFD) Sundays. Wow. It’s a whole new ball game we’re playing with here. “There is so much room for activities!” so here are some recommendations if this is your thing:

SHOPPING

There are still a ridiculous amount of ‘stocktake’ sales on so go bag yourself a bargain! I’ve clocked up a necklace, bag, scarf, books, mugs, and the most comfiest pair of black Rider jeans for 50% off – thanks Myer! I also indulged in the joys of internet shopping…dangerous!! But awesome for customised presents. I’ve got a baby shower next weekend and the little one is now getting a custom monster hoodie with his name on it – pimpin’.

MAGIC MIKE

No please, give me a second. So when a mate suggested we have a girls night and check this out, I thought why not?! If only for shits n giggles than nothing else. But wow. It actually surprised me. There is actually a plot line present, characterisation, conflict, climax…you know, all that shiz. Secondly, it is fucking hawt! Like, wipe your drool hawt. Put down your 50 Shades of Bullshit and do your self a favour by watching this one instead.

LIFE – KEITH RICHARD

I can’t say I knew a lot about ol’ Keefy before giving this book a crack. Well besides the fact that he is one of the Rolling Stones and loved a cheeky illegal substance or two. It’s a bloody big biography. Takes a while to get going but some good stories in there, and a lot of technical stuff for those who are musically in tune. I’m trying my gosh darm hardest to finish this book but the beast has gotten the better of me. I’ve got 3 other novels stacked up ready for it’s closure so that they can begin but seeing as I am only half way through, it looks like more of these FAAFD Sundays will have to open up for it to get a look in.

HOMEWORK

Yep, homework. Let’s be honest, we’ve all got it in some shape or form. Mine looks kinda like this – bills, blog, edit, clean, delete, call, write, order. Turns out when your not hungover you can get a lot more of this stuff done. Let’s not start a trend though. I’m not ready to make my life easy just yet.

So I think that’s about all for now. Although I haven’t been completely honest with you. I may be sporting a broken foot. No, no – I was sober and no, you’re not the first to ask. But it has definitely led to more nights (and days) indoors catching up on life. Maybe it was the universes way of saying hey; slow down, catch up, take a breather. It’s frustrating as all hell and these crutches are really giving me the shits. But on the bright side, I’ve got a lot of things done and found a new love for drinking tea. Mint with Moroccan Spices, get involved.

  2. 1) Online shopping is one of my favourite pasttimes – shopmarkethq.com, lucyinthesky.com, nastygal.com and showponyfashion.com
    2) Tea suggestions: http://www.orientalteahouse.com.au – Peach Melba and Serenitea (the relaxing tea – full of mint and berries and roots) are my faves!
    3) Also you could read blogs (like mine :) ) as well as books. If you have to stick to books I’m reading across many mountains, stories from 3 generations of tibetan women…recommended!!
