lime-o-rama
Ever since I began my hunt, then gave up, then found the perfect piece, then retired to my next hunt…..PINE LIME HAS EXPLODED. It’s bloody everywhere now. A lot of hits, a lot of misses. This pic from Vogue is super cute and limey. Love it with the 90′s denim. So bright yet subtle – how does that even happen?
I totally skipped over my post pine lime hunt. It involved a winter coat. Melbourne is cold. Like really cold. So this piece of uniform was a must. I wanted something thigh length, with a hood, toggles, fitted, in something dark – black, charcoal, navy. Sounds simple enough right? Wrong! Again, I searched high and low. Too long, too short, too expensive, no hood, shit buttons. Wow anyone would have thought I was looking for Joseph’s Technicolour Raincoat. “It’s Melbourne for fecks sake – isn’t this the winter coat capital” they all said?! 5 weeks on and I hit breaking point. I was bloody freezing. I didn’t care anymore. I was sick of hunting. So I SETTLED…for an emerald green coat that ticked enough of the other boxes. It was risky, it was unlike me but I was desperate…and cold, did I mention that? But the tables have turned; 3 weeks on and I haven’t taken it off. I fell for it. It grew on me. And now we are in love. Pics to follow!
