HOT DATE.
So did y’all catch the Perth Fashion Festival dates that were released last week? 21st–27th September 2011 is the case if you missed it and if last year is anything to go by, then another steller event is in the making. Wait a min, September 27th? That’s AFL Grand Final Day (yes I am a huge fan), hopefully no clashes!
PFF has grown from strength to strength over the last 13 years and I personally was quite proud of the showcase that was put on last year. I managed to see about 6 or 7 shows and they were all great. Not to mention the time I spent next door in the pop-up bar…what a treat! Apparently more than 44,000 people attended in 2010 which is the same amount as Subiaco Oval at FULL capacity. That’s a lot of heads. What an achievement.
Not sure if anyone will be able to top Jamie Lee’s show from last year (still can’t believe I missed this…bah!). If you too were hiding under a rock, here is a glimpse of what you missed:
Never seen anything like it, have you? Genius.
Next Tuesday kicks off the PFF 2011 proceedings as WA’s very own Kym Ellery launches her Spring Ready to Wear ’11 Collection to a lucky few (yep you’re looking at it). This show is going to be amazing, I can feel it in my bones. Is anyone else out there in blogland invited? I need a wingman stat. Word on the fash vine is that Grazia, Harpers Bazaar, Oyster and Russh will be flying in for the show….all my faves; I die! AND there is an after party…oh no…you know what I am like at these events – once I pop (the champagne), I can’t stop. And it’s on a school night; sheet! But really, how could I say no to Oyster Mag’s Dep Editor Ariane Halls behind the decks at Wolfe Lane?! Exactly. It would be a crime not to.
Ok you’re right, enough with the rubbing it in (and yes, I will make you hear about my hangover next week) and more about what Ellery are doing for you! Well how does a VIP Shopping Event sound? Maybe some Fall/Winter RTW pieces as well as some other exclusives? If you’re-a-likin’ what you’re hearing, then make sure you send in your lovely little names to Jacqui B at the below email address.
And lastly, a little something something to get you ELLERY shoppers in the mood. ELLERY’s Fall/Winter RTM collection entitled ‘Tenenbaums in the Tuileries’ marries a classic film ‘The Royal Tenenbaums’ with a classic lady in Marie Antoinette and the French revolution. What a marriage.
Bah, back to it!
